Scrapbooking using a Mood Board

Hello and welcome,

Firtsly, I would like to thank you for taking the the time to visit my latest post. Today you will be visiting Demonstrators from around the world to see various scrapbook projects that have been created using this gorgeous mood board...

When I saw this mood board I fell in love with it straightaway, I could have crafted about ten different pages using ideas from this. However, I chose to limit myself to just two.  The first page I created was this one...

These photo's were taken when my eldest daughter and three granddaughters came for a 'socially distanced' picnic in the garden after some of the rules of the first Lockdown were lifted, my youngest daughter had to stay in the conservatory as she was still in shileding but we managed to all enjoy the new 'normal!'

I truly enjoyed using the Hydrangea Hill Suite as it offered so much versatility and the colours and designs are just beautiful.  I loved how the Hydrangea flower die cut using the Designer Series Paper (DSP) and that the stem and leaves just matched up giving a 3D effect to my page.  I couldnt't resist die-cutting the DSP to make lots of little flowers to add little touches to the page.

The hearts around the photo's were created using ink refills dropped onto a wet wipe so it created a multicoloured ink pad.

Having got carried away, I just had to create a second page taht would co-ordinate and have a two page spread, so I was able to draw on inspirations from both the mood board and my first page above.

I stamped onto the background of the page using Rococo Rose ink and then added lots of die cut hearts and one large heart so I could add a bit of journalling.
As you can see I heat embossed using Silver embossing powder and the small hydrangea from the Hostess Stamp Set Suite Sampler in the January to June mini catalogue. Then with the Blending Brushes, Rococo Rose, Highland Heather and Old Olive ink pads I added colour to the hydrageas.

A huge thank you for taking the time to read this post, I hope you have enjoyed looking at what I have created.  It is now time for you to carry on with your Scrapbooking Global blog hop and head on over to have a look at what Cheryl is working on.
