Colour Challenge for September's Ink.Stamp.Share Blog Hop

Hello and welcome,

Thank you for stopping by from Rochelle on this damp and windy day in the UK as you join the Ink.Stamp.Share Colour Challenge Blog Hop.  How exciting!  For this month's Blog Hop we had to choose a minimum of three colours and create projects using them.  I hardly ever use Melon Mambo so I thought it would be a great to use this colourway.

When I was designing these cards, I just couldn’t resist using the Sprig punch, this poor punch has well and truly been used (visit my blog on 1st October to see why!)

I really enjoyed creating these cards and I hope you have enjoyed visiting my blog.  Hope to see you again soon.  Enjoy hopping on over to Cindy by pressing the 'NEXT' button below.

Paper Pumpkin UK Style for Crafty Blogs Hop

Welcome, I am so pleased you are here for me to share what I have been crafting with you all.  As part of this month’s Crafty Blog Hop, we are sharing examples of ‘Hello Pumpkin’ Paper Pumpkin which is this month’s kit in the USA, so I will be showing you UK Style Paper Pumpkin.

Just love crafting for Halloween, I love the colours, the imagination that it bring.  Oh and the bright red toffee apples.

So far this season I have only eaten two of them, but there is still time as after all and apple a day keeps the doctor away (maybe not the dentist though!)

The Banner Year Bundle (stamp set and punch) can be used in so many ways, it covers several occasions, from Halloween to Christmas to Valentines Day.  I love the versatility of the Banner Pick a Punch as I will be using it for scrapbooking too.

Please see below the supply list of the products used in these projects:

Thank you for spending your tme looking at my blog post and I hope to see you again very soon!

Guilded Autumn Crafty Blog Hop

Wow these blog hops come around really quick, welcome back and thank you for taking the time to visit me as I Crafty Blog hop using Stampin’ Up!’s Gilded Autumn suite.

I fell in love with this suite when I saw it in the August to December Mini Catalogue and although it was not until later that I bought the Beautiful Autumn bundle I knew I had to have to other bits instantly.  I fell in love with the colours and the foil on the papers.

As soon as I saw these papers I knew instantly which photographs I was going to use, rewind to 21st September 2016 when my eldest daughter Roni called me to suggest we go for a walk around Sandringham Woods (nope never bumped into any royalty) as she was making the most of the nice weather before Isla Rose (my second granddaughter) arrived for Halloween (nope she came 14th October).  I must confess I have zero idea what she was doing nor what we were laughing about, other than we realised I wretch when I see fungi (very strange fact about me!)

Since I started scrapbooking in 2007, I find I take photographs with scrapbooking layouts or products in mind, I knew I wanted the six photographs to tell a story and when I saw Gilded Autumn speciality designer series paper exactly which sheets I was going to use and even what stamp set I wanted for these pages.

For the Beautiful Autumn Bundle I stamped the leaves in either Early Espresso or Soft Suede ink, I then used the Wet Wipe Technique (lay a wet wipe onto a plastic surface and drop various ink refill colours – I used Pumpkin Pie, Real Red and Crushed Curry then use as an ink pad) to colour the leaves in.  Once they dried, I punched them out with the co-ordinating dies.  I chose to use two sets of dies for the title and sub heading, this is the beauty of scrapbooking there are no rules and you can use whatever you like.

Well thank you very much for popping by and I hope that you enjoy visiting the other Demonstrators around the world as you hop about.

All it needed was a bit of crafty friend time...

After a much-needed crafting session with a close crafty friend I was really happy to find my mojo has slowly returned and has left me chomping at the bit!

When we were crafting together, I loved the One Sheet Wonder sheet (OSW) that Sarah had recently created, so we did one together using the same Stampin’ Up! products. It was nice to be in the pupil’s seat for once and not have to think too hard.

A One Sheet Wonder is where you randomly stamp all over a sheet of card to create your own background sheet, it is really easy to do, however it takes me longer as I struggle with ‘random’ so I have to stamp in an ‘organised random’ kind of way!  The background was created by dragging a Stampin; Up! Daffodil Delight ink pad across the card and then just go for it stamp all over until you are happy with your sheet.  Remember that it will look different when you cut your card up.

Once you have completed stamping your sheet of card you then cut it up however you want to make card toppers ready to work on to make your completed cards. I chose to cut mine into four pieces (9.5cm x 13.85cm) ready for mounting onto C6 cards.

Now I have the bug for making more One Sheet Wonders using various Stampin’ Up! products, this one was very product heavy but they can be created just using one or maybe two stamps sets. Watch this space as I have a feeling more OSW sheets will follow.

Please see below the supply list of the products used in these projects:

I hope you enjoyed reading this post and come back to see what other projects I have created.

Happy Birthday to my beautiful eldest Daughter Roni

I wanted to share the card that I have made for my daughter, she is twenty-nine today.  We will be spending the day together which I cannot wait for, as even though she is grown up with her three amazing daughters she will always be my little girl, scary how quick time goes!

Stampin Up Peony Garden Peony stamp set and dies

When I set about making her birthday card (C5), I wanted to use Stampin’ Up! Peony Garden suite (Annual Catalogue) as this is just perfect for Roni.  I love the classy style of the stamps and how subtle the colours are.

I had great joy in stamping the images onto Whisper White cardstock and then using Stampin’ Up! watercolour pencils and an aqua painter brush to blend them all in.  To finish off the flowers I couldn’t resist winking all over them with the Wink of Stella pen. The bonus of this set it there are co-ordinating dies as well so no fussy cutting is needed.

It is time to get my Birthday craft on!

Well this time of year is very busy for me, I have my eldest daughter’s birthday, my father’s birthday and then all three of my granddaughter’s birthdays oh and not forgetting my daughter’s partner’s birthday, so from the 14th September to 14th October I have seven very important people’s birthdays!!!

Previously, I created a scrapbook page of my eldest granddaughter dressed up as Hermione and as it is her birthday on the 25th and I decided to create her a birthday card of the same theme.

I fell in love with how I created the scrapbook page – using a swirl from Stampin’ Up! Stitched Stars dies as a stencil with Cherry Cobbler and Bumblebee ink pads and sponge daubers to create the silhouette background on the Very Vanilla card topper.

Using a strip of Bumblebee cardstock on top of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and then used Stampin’ Up! Playful Alphabet dies to cut out the ‘Happy Birthday’ and number eleven using Stampin’ Up! Brushed Metallic cardstock.

Time to Press On - Stamp 'n' Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog post for the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop.  You may have joined me from Libby's blog or started your journey with me.

Here you will get to see Demonstrators from around the world showing you what they have been making using the lovely products from the Stampin’ Up! mini catalogue.

I just love cups and mugs and I am addicted to buying merchandise from Starbucks yet I am not a big fan of coffee but I can never resist buying their cups, so when I saw this stamp set in the mini catalogue I knew instantly that I would have to buy it.  I also knew that it would be the first set I used when I started crafting from that catalogue too.

For a change I knew instantly what I wanted to make with this set that was not Christmas related, but I will also be creating loads of Christmas related projects with this set as my head is over running with ideas, lets hope they stay in there when it comes to crafting time.

As part of a monthly swap group I am in, I chose to make this card as part of the swap for the group and as it was a very good friends birthday (who is also a Starbucks fan and actually likes coffee) created a coordinating gift card wallet for the gift card I had bought as part of her 40th birthday.

Here is a close up of the card so you can see that I embossed the background after I have stamped the hearts, how I used a piece of Prized Peony designer series paper for the pattern on the mug and that I heat embossed the greeting and fussy cut it out.

Look at the difference between the Whisper White cardstock that has been stamped on, one has been embossed using the Tasteful Textiles 3D embossing folder.

When I crafted the gift card wallet, I wanted to add just a little bit of an extra colour, so I chose Real Red for the heart and the word ‘coffee’ and I love how they stand out.  If only I had bought the Starbucks gift card first as I would have matched the colours on it.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at these projects and if you would like any more information then my details can be found at the bottom of this post.

Here is a list of the Stampin' Up! products I used to create these projects:

Thank you so much for popping by, now it is time to hop over to the wonderful Laura’s blog and have a look at her fantastic projects.
