Weekly Demonstrators Sketch Challenge #1

Good morning

I was so happy this morning to see that Liz Hockley (UK Demonstrator Development Manager) had put up a weekly challenge on the UK Demonstrators Facebook Page.  This weekly challenge will get me crafting and give me another reason to get my craft on!

This is the sketch image that we need to use when creating our project.

Recently I have been scrapbooking and saw this as an opportunity to use this sketch for a 12” x 12” scrapbook page.  I have several boxes full of photos that I sorted ready to scrapbook, and I knew exactly which photos I was going to use. The ones of my eleven year old Granddaughter Alexa and my youngest Daughter's Persian cat called Mickey.

I bought the Playful Pets suite several months ago and only used it to make a sympathy card for a friend who lost her dog so this was the perfect time.

Here is my scrapbooking page using the sketch and Playful Pets suite:

In addition to the Playful Pets suite I chose to use other products to add depth to the page.

Please see below the supply list of the products used in these projects:

Scrapbooking with Shapes

Hello and welcome,

Thank you for hopping on over to my blog, you may have started here or be visiting from Heike’s post, which ever way you got here I am happy to see you as you visit the Ink & Share Blog Hop.

I just love, love, love scrapbooking, when I started my card classes I found I started to neglect scrapbooking so in introduced a monthly Scrapbooking Workshop as it made me scrapbook.  When I saw this Blog Hop, I knew I had to participate as it was another excuse to scrap some more.

This challenge really appealed to me and my OCD as I like shapes, having purchased the Stitched So Sweetly Dies several months ago this was the perfect excuse to use them.

These photographs were taken when my youngest granddaughter Florence (eleven months old) came to visit my father, her Great Grandad for his nineth birthday.  She was over the moon to see the apple and pear trees and insisted on helping me pick some.

She then decided to help herself to one of each and chomp her way through both!

The Playful Alphabet dies used with the foam adhesive sheets give a great lift to any titles that you want to add, I had stamped my Cinnamon Cider cardstock then, attached the foam sheets before die-cutting, this makes it so much easier to place your title on the page.

During my crafting years, I discovered that I have addictions to certain things, Halloween and pumpkins being one of them. I loved that I recently bought Harvest Hellos stamp set and Apple Builder Punch for the purpose of making pumpkins, I was so happy to have remembered that there were apples in there too.

I hope you have enjoyed visiting my blog post today and hope to see you again very soon.  Now it is time to hop on over to Cindy’s post.

Trick or Treat for the Ink.Stamp.Share blog hop

Hello and thank you for visiting me from Tracie‘s blog or you may be starting your Blog Hop journey here, either way welcome!

For this Ink.Stamp.Share blog hop I was like a child playing with some lovely Halloween goodies.  Although I have only shown three cards, there was several more made. I did not want to stop as I loved using Stampin’ Up! Snow Globes to create them.

For this card I chose to punch out the tulips from the Vases Builder punch and put little dots on their eyes to make ghosts.

I love how the owl from Have a Hoot stamp set looks scared, he is super cute and I loved colouring him with Stampin’ Blends as it made he come to life!

I shall be posting more of the cards I made using these products over the next week, so thank you again for stopping by, hope to see you soon.

Now it is time to Hop on over to Karen’s blog.

My Paper Pumpkin UK style

Hello and thank you for popping by as I show you my take on next months Joy to the World Paper Pumpkin Kit.

This Paper Pumpkin kit was available in the USA last month and I am very excited to announce that this kit will be available to order in the UK from Tuesday 3rd November 2020.

As I have not been able to order the kit yet, I have created a card using the colours in the Paper Pumpkin Kit as inspiration – Crumb Cake, Soft Sea Foam and Early Espresso.  I chose to use A Merry Hello stamp set that is available for customers who place orders over £150.

   A Merry Hello

   Hostess Stamp Set

   August to December Mini Catalogue

I found this card harder than I would have liked, I was using colours out of my comfort zone as I love the traditional colours of Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Early Espresso, however it was nice to be challenged.

Having stamped the background using the dots in the set switching between first and second generations stamping.  I did not want to use the greeting whole so I did some fussy cutting and split it into two.

Once I had stamped and fussy cut the stockings and trees it was just a matter off assembling them, placed them on top of the linen thread and then my card was complete.

I am looking forward to playing some more with this stamp set, so please subscribe to my blog so you can see my future creations.

Thank you so much for stopping by, hope to see you again very soon.

It is time for Trimming the Town with a Crafty Blog Hops

Hello and welcome to my latest blog post,

Today I will be sharing the two projects that I made fir the Crafty Blogs Blog Hop using the Trimming the Town Suite by Stampin’ Up!

In this suite there is the Coming Home stamp set with co-ordinating dies, Designer Series Patterned Paper, embellishments and ribbons.

I knew that this would be one of those suites that has so many options but for now I have made a Terry’s Chocolate Orange gift box and a Christmas greetings card.  Every year in my Cards and 3D class we would always make a Terry's Chocolate Orange gift box, then I present them with the chocolate to put in the box, but this year I changed how I made it as I wanted a hinged lid.

One of the sheets of Designer Series Paper sheets had houses and trees on which can be cut out with the co-ordinating dies or fussy cut with scissors.  Most of my past posts will have some fussy cutting on them as I just love doing it, as I find it so therapeutic.  I even used the partial houses and trees to give a 3D effect by adding mini dimensionals after I cut them out.

I wanted to use Stampin’ Up! window sheets for the card front as I could add layers and depth to the card and also incorporate the insert into the card image.

loved how the Terry Chocolate gift box came together, I loved the gorgeous colours, the patterns on the paper and how I was able to wrap around the bottom of the gift box.

Please see below the supply list of the products used in these projects:

Demonstrator Support Programme Blog Hop #1

Hello, G’day, Hallo, Bonjour, こんにちは and welcome

Thank you for popping in as you go around the Demonstrator Support Program Blog Hop, you will get to see lots of Independent Demonstrators from around the world showing you what they have been crafting.

Today I will be sharing this card that I made several of which I will have ready to send out as and when needed.  I am not sure if I am the only one, but there is something that fascinates me about feathers, so when I chose to use Stampin’ Up!’s Tasteful Touches stamp set from the Annual CatalogueI knew that the feather had to be embossed using Gold Embossing Powder.

Oh yes, my cards did involve some fussy cutting but you either love it or hate it, personally I LOVE IT!  I have been known to even fussy cut some stamped images even though I have the matching dies too, I just find it so relaxing.

I hope you have enjoyed visiting and have fun on the rest of your hop.  Hope to see you again soon.

Oh what am I working on.....

Hello and welcome to my blog,

I just wanted to show you what I am working on at the moment, with so much new craft products about due to Stampin’ Up! having two current catalogues it made my decision quite hard.  However, it didn’t take me too long for me to make my mind up as I have wanted to play with this suite for quite a while – Stampin’ Up!’s Forever Greenery.

Every month I offer a scrapbooking kit (£15 collected, £20 posted) to my regular customers and these are my two pages using items from the kit, plus I have added the stamp set and dies into my work.

Before I started creating I decided that I would like to stamp and die-cut loads of different elements using the stamps and dies so I had them all ready to play with.

Here you will see a mixture of Forever Gold Laser-cut Speciality Paper which I literally just popped out to add with all of the stamped and die-cut images which I created stamping onto Whisper White card and by using Just Jade, Shaded Spruce, Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz, Pretty Peacock and Soft Sea Foam ink colours.

I truly loved using the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper as they went so well with the photographs that I wanted to scrap, a recent family day out in Stamford, Norfolk.  I had so many photos to use and it was my intention to get as many on as I could.

These pictures are close-ups of two sections of the page so you get a better chance to see the detail.  I was really happy with how these pages turned out and it is my intention to carry on crafting with this suite.  I plan to make a mini album with more photographs in of this memorable day out with my daughters and granddaughters.

Oh my favourite Designer Series Paper Stamp 'n Hop Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my latest blog post for the Stamp n’ Hop blog hop where we are showcasing our favourite Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Papers, so thank you stopping by from Kim.

For this blog hop I choose Stampin’ Up!’s Snowflake Splendour Designer Series Paper which is available in the August to December 2020 mini catalogue.

Stampin-up-snowflake-splendor-speciality-designer-series-paper

With these papers I decided I would make a start on my Christmas card stash as it will be here before we know it.  It was really easy to use these papers as the colours work so well together.

These cards were created using the Snowflake Wishes stamp set, Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper, So Many Snowflakes and Stitched Shapes dies.

Thank you for stopping by and hope you continue with the hopping as you visit Vicki’s blog post.
