Guilded Autumn Crafty Blog Hop

Wow these blog hops come around really quick, welcome back and thank you for taking the time to visit me as I Crafty Blog hop using Stampin’ Up!’s Gilded Autumn suite.

I fell in love with this suite when I saw it in the August to December Mini Catalogue and although it was not until later that I bought the Beautiful Autumn bundle I knew I had to have to other bits instantly.  I fell in love with the colours and the foil on the papers.

As soon as I saw these papers I knew instantly which photographs I was going to use, rewind to 21st September 2016 when my eldest daughter Roni called me to suggest we go for a walk around Sandringham Woods (nope never bumped into any royalty) as she was making the most of the nice weather before Isla Rose (my second granddaughter) arrived for Halloween (nope she came 14th October).  I must confess I have zero idea what she was doing nor what we were laughing about, other than we realised I wretch when I see fungi (very strange fact about me!)

Since I started scrapbooking in 2007, I find I take photographs with scrapbooking layouts or products in mind, I knew I wanted the six photographs to tell a story and when I saw Gilded Autumn speciality designer series paper exactly which sheets I was going to use and even what stamp set I wanted for these pages.

For the Beautiful Autumn Bundle I stamped the leaves in either Early Espresso or Soft Suede ink, I then used the Wet Wipe Technique (lay a wet wipe onto a plastic surface and drop various ink refill colours – I used Pumpkin Pie, Real Red and Crushed Curry then use as an ink pad) to colour the leaves in.  Once they dried, I punched them out with the co-ordinating dies.  I chose to use two sets of dies for the title and sub heading, this is the beauty of scrapbooking there are no rules and you can use whatever you like.
