Day 5 - Hello December meets Blogmas 2024

 

Hello and welcome to day five,

Today I wanted to share with you, the sixth page of my Advent Calendar.

Again I mainly used the Reindeer Days designer series paper and also cut out a group of trees from a different sheet of DSP.

Once you add the number it gave you some colour to the page other than just the different shades of green.

I know this is quite a simple page but I hope you will come back to see what else I have been making as I really would appreciate it.

Day 4 - Hello December meets Blogmas 2024

Hello and welcome

On the fourth day of Christmas I chose to create day four using some of the Reindeer Days DSP and a Christmas tree with a reindeer and again I did some fussy cutting. 

Fussy cutting is one of those things that you either love or hate, I really do enjoy fussy cutting as the effect once finished is amazing, plus I find it so theraputic.

Day 3 - Hello December meets Blogmas 2024

 

Hello

On the third day of Christmas, I wanted to keep it be quick and easy.

So for the Advent Calendar I allowed the Reindeer Days designer series paper to be the main feature and voila with the number added this was done.

Day 2 - Hello December meets Blogmas 2024

  

Hello and welcome,

Thank you taking the time to come and have a look at my lates blog post for Hello December meets Blogmas.  I am so happy to be sharing with you today day two of my advent calendar and a Christmas card that we recently created in one of my Stamp-a-Stack classes.

On the second day of Christmas, I used two Memories and More cards to create this card full of presents as today is my birthday so it seemed perfect.

It was quite a quick card to make, I fussy cut some extra presents off another Memories and More card and added them to the card using mini dimensional foam pads.

During one of my Stamp-a-Stack classes we created several Christmas cards so I chose to share this one with you today.

Again, this used more presents and would it be Christmas if we didn’t include some Festive Glimmer paper?  It worked so well with the Reindeer Days Designer Series Paper.

Day 1 - Hello December meets Blogmas 2024

 

Pinch punch first of the month…

Wow, how quick did December come around!  One minute we are eating Easter eggs and then I feel like I blinked and tis' beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

I was hoping to be a bit more organised this Blogmas but life just doesn’t always allow for that, so my intention is to post daily by sharing with you what I have been creating this festive season.  They will be projects that I have created at home for pleasure or as samples for my cardmaking classes.

Every year I say I want to scrapbook my December so in years to come I can look back upon the happy memories and reflect on times gone by.  Also, it will be great for my daughter and granddaughters to look back at the memories we created whilst they were young. 

However, I have yet to complete one but I am on a mission this is the year to start it and complete it.  I will be sharing what I have created both on here, Instagram and Facebook.

So, to kick this off I am sharing with this years Advent Calendar that I created for one of my classes using Stampin’ Up! Reindeer Days Memories and More cards and Designer Series Paper.

On the first day of Christmas, I chose to keep it quite simple by using an embossing folder for the background and a big fan of fussy cutting I cut the trees and deer from the Designer Series Paper.

I really enjoyed creating this advent calendar and even more so getting to share it with others who love to craft.

Scrapbooking Global Guest Designer - My Three Favourite Colours

Hello and welcome, 

Thank you for coming to see me as part of the Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop and I am so pleased that have come to see what I have created as I have been away from my blog since the New Year as life with my disabled daughter just eat into my crafting time, but I am back ans thankfully so is my mojo.  

Last year, I had the pleasure of being asked if I would like to be a Guest Designer in 2024, I was so excited to be asked and took this as a great honour and it made me realise that what I create is worthy of this recognition.  Choosing my topic meant I had so many ideas but decided to settle on 'My 3 Favourite Colours.'

Oddly, I didn't select the colours that I originally thought I would have and I found it really hard to commit, however here are my 'current' favourite colours

I chose to use the Hot Air Balloon and Playing in the Rain stamps & dies from the current Stampin' Up! catalogue as we have used it last month in my monthly Scrapbooking Workshop and I had so much fun creating the hot air balloons and clouds.

Here is the page that I created with my photo's of my youngest Granddaughter P on the swings:

I loved playing with the clouds out of the Playing in the Rain stamp set, alternating the colours was a little idea I had as I stamped them in Fresh Fressia ink on the Fresh Freesia and Basic White cardstock.

Suite Showcase #24 - Softly Stippled (Sale-a-Bration special)

Happy New Year and welcome back to my first blog post of 2024

Hope you all had a lovely festive season, and I cannot believe how long ago it already feels.  As this blog goes live I will be in Disneyland Paris with my two daughters and four granddaughters.  This will be our first time all going together and I am not sure who is more excited, me or them.

For the first Suite Showcase of 2024 we chose to use the Softly Stippled Designer Series Papers (DSP) from the new Sale-a-Bration brochure that went live on 4^th January.  It is a very exciting time with Stampin’ Up! as sale-a-Bration has so much to offer – free products for shopping and joining.

I chose to create a scrapbook page as I was asked to join the Scrapbooking Global Facebook group as a Guest Designer for 2024 and the month I chose was May and I would like to create more Scrapbook pages this year as I have so many lovely photo’s that I would like to use.  At the end of the month I will be hosting my first Scrapbooking Retreat of the year and I really cannot wait as this allows me to get really productive.

Anyhow, here is the page I created…

I wanted to fussy cut the flowers out and add colour to them using the blending brushes and using colours from the DSP and I also added Old Olive for the leaves.  For this I chose to use the Love This Moment stamp set (new January to April mini catalogue) which is perfect for scrapbooking and journalling.
