Suite Showcase #20 - Winter Meadow

 

Hello,

Welcome to another Suite Showcase using Stampin' Up!'s Winter Meadow which is in the curent mini catalogue. 

I fell in love with the papers in this suite instantly, I also like the products that accompanied them, the ribbon and the foil papers.

When I saw this DSP, not only the subtle design of the pattern on the papers but the gorgous colour palette was what attracted me to this suite.

I was so excited to craft these cards, I cannot wait to carry on crafting with them, especially at my upcoming Scrapbooking workshop.

I originally was going to buy the stamp and dies but in my head I kept seeing the cards with Layering Leaves and Bough punch, so I got carried away with stamping and punching for this project and used them for my cards.  As always there was some fussy cutting, I just couldn't resist cutting out the berries.

For this card I wanted to show two sides of DSP and I embossed the middle piece with the Ferm 3D embossing folder to add texture.

With this card I wanted a focal point, bit of fussy cutting and a few punched out Bough leaves in vellum.

On this card I wanted to use the allow the background to still be seen and add to the card.

I don't need any encouragement at get 'my wink on' so I used Wink of Stella on all three cards for give them the finishing touches.

Suite Showcase #19 - Them Bones

Hello and I'm sorry the late posting but I am back and having "got my craft on" I am able to bring you the lastest Suite Showcase - Them Bones.  

I was so excited to play  with this suite, Stampin' Up! as always have brought us some fantastic Halloween offerings.

At first I planned to create a scrapbook page using my recent Disneyland Paris Halloween photos but then I had a better idea, a Happy Halloween Banner which I want to put up in my fireplace.

I truly enjoyed making this banner, it took me longer than I thought it would and would I have created a project if there wasn't some fussy cutting involved.

The pumpkins were really fun to create, I used blending brushes to give the multitonal effect and then just punched or fussy cut them out.

Suite Showcase #18 - All About Autumn

Hello,

As summer comes to an end we approach the most beautiful season of all, Autumn is my favourite colour.  I didn't realise this until sometime last year when I looked at my winter wardobe as it consists of warm oranges, yellows and browns.

So when it came to creating this project for this months Suite Showcase I was super excited as we would be using the All About Autumn Suite by Stampin' Up!  as it contains all of my favourite colours:

For a change I decided to create a 3D project and I had recently purchased a cork placemat that I was going to turn into a wallhanger  (one I get my drill back).

When I was planning this I knew I would have great fun creating all of the leaves using a variety of different methods.

I had used the dies to cut out one sheet of All About Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper (SDSP) and used both sides of the SDSP for variety, I used the leaves spine to cut out the Oxidized Copper paper.  

In addition to this, I also used a few of the Classic Stampin' Ink Refills in the above colours and used the Wet Wipe technique to add the blended colours on the Cajun Craze cardstock.

Once they were arranged on the cork placemat I the added the Copper and Natural ribbon and finished off with the Adhesive-Backed Speckled Dots, it all co-ordinated just like autumn does.

Suite Showcase #17 - Earthen Elegance

Happy September to you all, 

Welcome to another Suite Showcase as we start to move onto the Autumn season of crafting before we start crafting for the festive season.  For this Showcase we have chosen to use Stampin' Up!'s Eathen Elegance Suite which is very neutral in colour.

I truly had no idea what to craft, I had thought about cards and then I thought about scrapbooking pages but I really couldnt make my mind up. However, I then had a brainwave after a visit to a National Trust property:

          

Belton House

Grantham.

Here is that brainwave, voila a mini scrapbooking album...

To be fair, it is a mini scrapbook album with lots of pages that fold out or fold down to allow for lots of photos and journalling to be added when I complete it over the next week or two.  I made the inside by using card blanks and builded onto it as I expanded the pages.

When I was constructing this album I used the Stampin' Up products listed below and the only additional item that I used was two pieces of thick card (like chipboard) that had been included with some foil card as packaging:

Stamp-a-Stack with Les Shoppes Suite

Hello and welcome,

Every fortnight I run a Stamp-a-Stack class at my shop, The Crafty Corner Shop in Grimston and everyone who attends receives a goodie bag of Stampin' Up! products for them to use to create multiple cards that I have designed.  At the end of each class there is plentry of excess products left over for them to take home and craft with at their leisure.

On the 7th and 21st of each month I create projects for the Suite Showcase posts showing what I have created with the chosen Suite for each date.  For the first Suite Showcase of this month, I created two six inch cards using the Les Shoppes Suite by Stampin' Up!  

For the class we made the following cards using more of the products in the kits, it was great to see how versitile these shops were to use and how pretty they came out as greeting cards.

It was so theraputic fussy cutting the shops out, once I did this I chose which background I was going to use and how I was going to decorate them.  Here are two more:

 

Some of the shops allowed for portait cards, and by cutting under the canopy it meant dimension could also be added.

Suite Showcase #16 - Delightfully Eclectic

 

Hello and welcome to the second Suite Showcase of the month where I will be showing you what I have made using the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper (DSP) by Stampin' Up!

There was so many options with this DSP pack as it contains 48 sheets of 12" x 12" (4 each of 12 double-sided designs) but I opted for these to sheets for my projects as they fitted my scrapbooking photos perfectly.  

For the first page I chose to use the paper with the swans on, it was a great contrast to the top that my lovely Floss was wearing whilst trying to drink the remainder of the froth in her Mum's coffee.  

I fell in love with the Gorgeously Made dies when I used them in a previous Suite Showcase post (link here) and I added flowers and leaves die-cuts to the page using Fresh Fressia, Bubble Bath and Old Olive cardstock after adding to them using the blending brushed.

As you can see, I have used the letters from the sheet to create the title for this page, they worked really well and I loved playing with them.

On the second page, I went for a completely alternative colour way as I wanted the pages to co-ordinate.  I tend to always do double-page spreads as they will be opposite each other in the album when they are finished.

As a massive Lego fan, I have always encouraged my granddaughters to play with the bricks from an early age, P (Penelope) adores it so I wanted to create bricks for this page as that was what she had been playing with when the photos were taken,  The bricks were created using small circle punch and mini dimensionals to give the 3D effect.

Suite Showcase #15 - Les Shoppes

Hello and welcome back!

This is the first one of the month and as the weather is not exactly the best this summer in Norfolk, so I have been happily crafting to avoid getting caught in all of the rain.  This time we will be showing you the Les Shoppes suite by Stampin’ Up! I wanted to focus on the lovely Designer Series Paper (DSP).  This suite was also used in my fortnightly Stamp-a-Stack class and it was lovely seeing what the ladies created themselves using the same products as I had.

It has been a while since I made a six-inch card, so I decided to make two of them.  

For this card, I chose the images off the sheets of shops and the decided upon which colour card I wanted as the mount, for this one it was Crumb Cake.  I used two shops and made the canopy 3D by attaching another on top.

By picking out the colours in the card, I was able to stamp some leaves in co-ordinating colours and then punch them out using the bough punch.

I have always had a weakness for a lovely Embossing Folder so when they add type font into the mix it means the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder becomes my go to product.  Also to add greenery to the cards I chose to use my favourite punch - Bough Punch and the Layering Leaves stamp set.

With the second card I stamped all over the card using the dots and I wanted the leaves to be in the background to represent hedges.

By adding another fussy cut shop out and another canopy on top, from an incomplete shop I was abble to add more definition.
