Suite Showcase #6 - Ready to Ride

Happy Spring Everyone,

Welcome to the second Suite Showcase of March and thank you for spending the time to come and have a look at what we have created using Stampin’ Up!s Ready to Ride Suite.

Joanna (Purrfectly Creative) and I chose this suite as it is male orientated, and this is something out of my comfort zone when it comes to card making.  I am pleased to say that I truly did enjoy playing with this suite and showing ways of using it without actually purchasing the Legendary Ride stamp and dies bundle.

When I looked at the Ready to Ride Designer Series Paper (DSP) I instantly saw so many fussy cutting opportunities.

As always I got carried away cutting out all pieces that I planned to use on these projects so I have several extra pieces for another time.

To start with, I cut the DSP and put it through the Metal Effect embossing folder to add some extra texture then I started layering all the pieces in place, stamped a greeting using the Happy Labels stamp set and Early Espresso ink and attached them with glue and mini dimensional pads.

The second card was using the glossy side of the DSP and I added a strip of Pumpkin Pie DSP to add a bit of colour and water coloured some of the cut-outs using ink from the pads and a watercolour brush.  By adding everything on the card with mini dimensional pads and glue it gave a 3D effect.
As I always do a six-inch card I would do something different and as I love scrapbooking I wanted to do a scrapbook page.  However, I decided to do a A5 sized card that was a scrapbook page.  I didn’t have a photo to use at the time of creating it but I have left a two-inch by three inch space for my Canon Zoemini printer photo to be inserted.

Again, thank you so much visit my page and if you pop over to Joanna’s page you will be able to see what she has also created using this suite.  Don’t forget to come back on 7th April to see what we have created using the Rain or Shine suite from Stampin’ Up!

Suite Showcase #5 - Fancy Flora

Hello,

Thank you for taking your time to pop in and have a look at the first Suite Showcase of March.  This month sees us starting off by showing you the Fancy Flora suite by Stampin’ Up!  When I saw this suite in the January to April mini catalogue I instantly fell in love with it for so many reasons, but mostly because I love the big die in the Two Tone Flora die set.

For my first card I created a die-cut blank and then I couldn’t resist using inks and blending brushes to add colour, especially when you open up the card and all the colour has created a stencil effect.

Card two was created by using a die-cut topper and adhering to the Evening Evergreen base to make the stencil effect pop.  This just needed some flowers and leaves along with a greeting and my forever go to linen thread for a bow.  Once I added some Iridescent Pastel Gems on the card I was finished.

As always, card three had to be a six-inch square card and I decided to cut a window out of the base and the Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper and insert a die-cut piece of card to show the beautiful detail. I anted to add a bit of the Pool Party Grosgrain ribbon for effect with the two-step stamped flowers and more of the Iridescent Pastel Gems.  I didn’t want the greeting as it was, so I stamped it twice next to each other and I got lucky on the first time.

To be honest I was struggling with a bit of crafters block when I was making these cards, not sure if it was because I wanted to do so much with the suite or this silly cold that I have but hopefully I will get to create some more projects using this suite soon.

Well thank you again for looking at my projects and why not pop over to see what Joanna of Purrfectly Creative has made with this suite and I look forward to seeing you again when we publish the next Suite Showcase on the 21st March.

Suite Showcase #4 - Regency Park

Hello and welcome,

It’s time again for the second Suite Showcase of the month where Joanna of  (Purrfectly Creative) and I will be showing you what we have created using Stampin’ Up!’s Regency Park Suite.

I was looking forward to playing with this suite as I loved the samples in the mini catalogue although I was hesitant about the colours as I am not a fan of Shaded Spruce, but when I started playing with the suite I slowly came to accept the colour.

For my first card I recreated a card I had previously made in my Stamp-a-Stack class at the beginning of the month, but I wanted to use the sheet of Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the pack as I had fallen in love with the colour combo of Petal Pink and Sweet Sorbet.

No surprise that I used the Tailor Made Tags dies and Timeworn Type Embossing folder and several sizes of flowers that just needed a Wink of Stella for the finishing touch.

The second card I made was loosely based on a card sample (mini catalogue p.30).

I loved how they stamped the background and layered it onto a piece of DSP to add extra colour to the card.

I needed a card to send to a friend so I just added ‘HELLO’ using the Alphabet a la Mode Dies layered on the ribbon and a bit of pretty gems to finish it off.

Card number three had to be a six-inch square card.  Wouldn’t be a Suite Showcase without me making one of these.

For this card I needed to make it a bit different and I knew the flower stamps would make a great wreath.  So after stamping, colouring and die-cutting I arranged a circle on attached them to each other using Mini Dimensionals to hold it together and be hidden from the back.

Then I stamped a wreath onto the insert using just half a stamp and going round in a rough circle.

Once I had attached the window sheet to the base lay the wreath onto the window sheet and lined it up before attaching with glue dots.  To finish it off I added the greeting, Linen thread bow and milky dots.

Voila, three cards all completed using this lovely Regency Park Suite and hope to create some more projects using it.

Hope you have enjoyed reading this post and don’t forget to pop over to Joanna’s post for more Suite Showcase projects.  Don’t forget the next Suite Showcase will be live at 1.30pm on 7th March where we will be using the gorgeous Fancy Flora Suite by Stampin’ Up!

Suite Showcase #3 - Country Floral Lane

Happy February to you all!

Thank you for coming back to look at what we have been creating for the first Suite Showcase of the month.  When I saw the Country Floral Lane suite I just couldn’t wait to start playing with the lovely products.

I love making six-inch square cards, as you can see I just had to make one using these products. On this card I wanted to give it some life and definition.

By screwing up the Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the Basics Vellum (emboss the vellum first and be very gentle screwing it up) then to finish it off I tore all the edges before adhering to the card base.

I chose a greeting that would be great for ending to a Bestie on Valentine’s day, I also make cards for both of my daughters and my four Granddaughters.

One the second card I wanted to use the vellum but in a different way, I wanted to show off its true beauty and it would have been wasted if it was covered up.

By using the window sheet, it shows off the vellum and allows the card to stand up unsupported.  The flap holds all of the decorations.

I just loved using the DSP for the word ‘LOVE’ and the mixture of gold embossing powder and Rich Razzleberry ink.

Now I am big fan of fussy cutting, it’s a bit like  Marmite, you either love or hate it but I just love the detail it gives and by fussy cutting the foliage it helped blend the two pieces of (DSP).

I am a mega fan of the Tailor-Made Tags and use them on lots of projects as I love using my ribbon stash.

As you will see from the projects that I have made, that I forgot to order the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Papers so I chose to substitute them with the Dainty Flowers Designer Series Papers that you can receive for FREE during Sale-a-Bration.

During Sale-a-Bration (ends 28.2.23) when you place an order you can choose a free product for every £45 that you spend from a wide selection of products.  Here is the link to my online Stampin’ Up! store.

Well I hope you have enjoyed looking at the cards I have made for this Suite Showcase and if you pop over to see what Joanna (Purrfectly Creative) has created using the suite.

Suite Showcase #2 - Awash in Beauty

Welcome back to our second blog post where Joanna (from

Purrfectly Creative) and I share the projects we have made using Awash in Beauty Designer Series Paper and Art Gallery Stamp set.

It was lovely playing with this Designer Series Paper as I truly am a fan of fussy cutting and there is one sheet of paper that allowed me to spend ages cutting all around the flowers and leaves before making a card.  In addition to a card, I also made a scrapbook page that I will be sharing at a later date.

This first card shows off my favourite embossing folder called Timeworn Type, I use this so often as I am a massive fan of typewriter font, teamed this up with copper foil to make a wonderful background for the card, I was then ready for the designer series paper to be added after I finished fussy cutting it out.

For this second card I simply embossed Basic White card then stamped the flowers (Fresh Freesia ink), leaves and greeting (Granny Apple Green ink) out and added them onto the card using mini dimensionals.

By using the Designer Series Paper it allowed me to have a ready made background for thie third card, so I could simply add some more fussy cut flowers and the die-cut greeting as a finishing touch.

Well I hope you have enjoyed looking at what I have created and if you pop over to Joanna's blog you will see what she has made using the Awash in Beauty Designer Series Paper.

Look forward to seeing you again on 7th February for another Suite Showcase.

Suite Showcase #1 - Hues of Happiness

Welcome to the first post of the Suite Showcase and I am looking forward to sharing with you the projects that I loved creating.

I have had a lot of fun crafting with this suite and the other lovely products from Stampin' Up! and this is what I made...

For this months Suite Showcase we have made three cards showing you a variety of ways of using the products we selected for you.

Card One

This card shows the selection of stamped cardstock which was cut out using the Cut-n-Emboss die-cutting machine.

A close up of the card to show the detail of the Wink of Stella to add a little bit of sparkle.

For the second card, I chose to use more of the dies and did a cut out background

Close up - Card Two
I loved heat embossing directly onto the beautiful Designer Series Paper and a little stamp on the inside of the card which I coloured using a Stampin' Up! Blending Brush.
Inside Card Two

For my final card, I wanted to show and alternative to Card Two by just die-cutting the background and fussy cutting the flowers and leaves out of the Designer Series Paper.

Card Three

Again I couldnt restist the urge to Wink of Stella over the flowers in order add a bit of sparkle.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post and I hope you have enjoyed the projects that I have created. On the 14th January (2pm) I will be participating in the Stampin' for Christmas Blop Hop where I have used this collection to create Christmas Cards.

If you have liked any of the products that I have used, you are able to order the products used in these projects directly through me in a avriety of ways -  directly through my online Stampin' UP! store or by contacting me to add to my order if you are fairly local.

So this is the end of the first Suite Showcase and the next Suite Showcase will go live on 21st January at 1.30pm.  Here is the link.

Hope you have enjoyed looking at my first Suite Showcase post and hope to see you again, but before you go why not pop over to see what Joanna from Purrfectly Creative has created.
